Well the parrying wasn't to hard since it was on the easiest difficulty, so the window for parrying was much large in comparision to the Jedi Grandmaster difficulty. Also the Gorgora fight was pretty difficult but I found a strategy of force slowing it right before most attacks and using the force refill upgrade whenever everytime I used a stim. If enemy has under 1,5 hits worth of HP and is staggered you get fancy finisher. Take note some enemies have ista kill conditions. For example 1st monster on that planet (cant remember name big thing with long limbs that makes huge swings) gives you fatality option after you parry it like 4 fimes in a row. insta-kill execution like sekiro

After it reloads from a fall they are there. You can't counter or block once an enemy starts a series of attacks. Especially in a knock-back. You continually take damage and can't dodge or block. Definitely a defensive game more than offensive. I don’t play a lot of games but I have played the Arkham games and Spider-Man which were very offensive, really try to parry and use the force as much as possible (like an actual Jedi) Also if you REALLY wanna practice combat go to Dathomir first.
parry is all about timing too, dont hit block as soon as the enemy lifts his weapon, let it travel a little towards you first, play with the timing until you get it right.you can parry the animals too of course but the easiest to practice on would be the baton troopers. parrying blaster fire back at the shooter is good practice too.

I 100% agree about Fallen Order having much better flow. It feels infinitely better to me difficulty wise and closer to an actual souls type. Jedi Survivor just feels like complete garbage even though you feel more powerful against basic enemies than you did in Fallen Oder.

And he could theoretically use Force Speed to move his body faster.
